Nominate your neighbor for a 2024 Beautification Award
Starting this year, we are establishing an annual Beautification Award Program for the residents of the Historic South Side. Taking care of properties (whether a homeowner or renter) is already painstaking work, but even more so when it comes to preserving and maintaining historic properties like the ones in our neighborhood.
The beautification awards are being established to recognize the hard work of our neighbors and encourage everyone to take pride in the landscape and exterior of their homes. The program efforts will inspire the maintenance of properties and ultimately create a safe and healthy community for all.
Have you recently updated your landscape with new flowers, shrubs or trees? Have you refreshed your exterior with new paint or fixed deteriorating historic details? We want to see your property and acknowledge your hard work. Nominate yourself or a deserving neighbor for a Beautification Award this season.
Nominate yourself or a deserving neighbor through July 1st!
Congratulatory yard signs will be placed in the front yards of the winners.
Nominations will be accepted for the 2024 season until July 1st. Following the nominations, the neighborhood association committee will take exterior photos of all nominated properties and determine the winners for that year. Winners will be recognized with a congratulatory yard sign before the beginning of August.
